Recognised by the Lombardy Region as a historical institution, Gioielleria Pavan has spent more than half a century turning a family passion into one of Brianza’s most refined addresses for jewellery and watchmaking.
When Antonio Pavan opened his jewellery shop in Monza in 1969, the ambition was straightforward: to build a place where craftsmanship and warmth coexisted in equal measure. Alongside his wife Marilena, Antonio received the customers of Brianza with a dedication that went beyond the merely commercial. Both were versed in the dual disciplines of jewellery and watchmaking, and that dual expertise gave the business a particular depth from its earliest days — a place where the mechanics of time and the aesthetics of precious stones were treated with equal seriousness.

What followed was less a business succession than a natural inheritance. Their children, Andrea and Laura, grew up inside those walls, absorbing the rhythms of the atelier — the conversations with clients, the careful handling of pieces, the professional rigour their parents brought to every transaction. In time, both chose to formalise what they had observed intuitively, pursuing their studies at leading centres of jewellery and watchmaking across Italy and Europe. The shop their father had founded became, in the next generation, something considerably more considered.
The Pavan atelier today is a telling space. Its shelves hold volumes on gemology and the history of jewellery; its workbenches carry both vintage machinery — kept precisely for the quality of finish it lends to stonework — and modern instruments capable of drawing out the full optical character of a gem. This dialogue between old methods and new tools is not decorative nostalgia. It reflects a genuine conviction that the standards of historical craft and the possibilities of contemporary technique are not in opposition, but in conversation. Every piece selected for the collection is chosen and curated with this principle in mind, with attention given not only to beauty but to the skill embedded in its making.

That philosophy found a formal expression in 2015, when Andrea and Laura launched Infije, an independent brand conceived as a vessel for the accumulated knowledge of the family’s five decades. Under the Infije name, each jewel is designed so that the cut and form of the stone carry a narrative of their own, while each watch is approached as an object of singular elegance. The brand draws on the past without becoming a museum piece — its orientation is firmly forward.
The recognition came in 2021, when the Lombardy Region officially designated Gioielleria Pavan a historical and traditional institution — an acknowledgement of what the Pavan family had built across more than fifty years in Monza. It is a designation that suits them: not as a conclusion, but as a marker along a continuum that began with Antonio and Marilena behind a counter in Brianza, and continues today in the hands of the generation they quietly, carefully raised to carry it forward.
