Thomas Saddlery

Thomas Saddlery has been a fixture in the Italian equestrian world since the late 1980s, founded on a deep personal passion for horses. The business began modestly, with sales conducted directly on showgrounds during equestrian competitions across Tuscany before expanding into Umbria and Lazio. Over the decades, it grew into a recognised presence at some of Italy’s most prestigious equestrian events, including Piazza di Siena, La Bagnaia, the Global Champions Tour, and the Toscana Tour, building a reputation for professionalism and a comprehensive product range suited to riders of all levels, both male and female.

That growth eventually called for a more substantial home base. The original shop in Bettole outgrown, the business relocated to its current premises in Foiano della Chiana, in the province of Arezzo — a space of around 900 square metres situated alongside the Valdichiana Outlet Village. The new location allows Thomas Saddlery to welcome an expanding clientele in an environment designed to offer a thorough and unhurried shopping experience across its full range of equestrian equipment and clothing.

For those unable to visit in person, an online shop launched in 2017 has steadily gained a loyal following, extending the saddlery’s reach well beyond Tuscany. A further development came in 2021 with the opening of a dedicated 150-square-metre wooden stand at the Arezzo Equestrian Centre, bringing the business full circle to the competition grounds where it first made its name.
