About
Founded in 1946 by Gottfried Roner, Roner SpA Distillerie has grown over three generations into what is today recognised as the most awarded distillery in Italy. The story began with a single still and an unwavering dedication to craft. As the range expanded to include gentian, juniper, and bilberry liqueurs, a second still was acquired and fruit distillation became central to the operation, giving rise to the distinctive fruit spirits for which the house is now celebrated across the country.
Based in Trentino Alto Adige, Roner draws its raw materials exclusively from the region, working with long-standing suppliers of high-quality fruit, herbs, spices, and grape pomace typical of South Tyrol. Berries and fruits are carefully transformed into aromatic distillates and grappas under rigorous quality controls, with the stated ambition of capturing the fragrance and flavour of each ingredient at its most intense. The marriage of premium local produce and modern distillation technology, guided by deep respect for traditional method, defines every bottle that leaves the distillery.
The current range spans fruit distillates, grappa, liqueurs, mixology-grade spirits, and a selection of regional specialty products. Roner’s philosophy positions tradition not as something to be preserved in amber, but as a living body of knowledge — one that evolves and develops with each passing generation. The result is a portfolio that is firmly rooted in Alpine heritage while remaining open to contemporary interpretation.
