Le Carceri

Le Carceri occupies a singular position in Florence’s dining landscape, housed within the restored ruins of a former cloistered convent that later served as a male prison until 1985. The building’s layered history is woven into every corner of the space: eighteenth-century frescoes adorn the walls, and original architectural details from both the convent and the prison years have been carefully preserved through a recent renovation. The interior accommodates up to 100 guests across three distinct rooms and a series of glass-enclosed arcaded spaces, all fully air-conditioned for year-round comfort.
